HeartMath® with Barbara Pidgeon – 9:30am to 1pm
HeartMath® is a scientifically validated system that will help you to transform your stress, boost your resilience and empower higher performance. It is easy to learn simple, powerful techniques including breathing and positive emotions that can be used ‘in the moment’.
During the session you will get a real-time insight into your emotional, mental and physical state and help you develop the ability to self-regulate.
Generating sustained positive emotions facilitates a body-wide shift to a specific, scientifically measurable state. This state is termed psychophysiological coherence, because it is characterised by increased order and harmony in both our psychological (mental and emotional) and physiological (bodily) processes.
Research shows when we achieve coherence, our physiological systems function more efficiently, we experience greater emotional stability, and we also have increased mental clarity and improved cognitive function. Simply stated, our body and brain work better, we feel better, and we perform better.
You might be a runner, walker, exerciser, you might not. Anyone can benefit from joining this masterclass. You will come away with a valuable practise and ideas to help change the environment that is shaping you in more ways than you can imagine.
The Oxygen Advantage with Gray Caws – 2 to 5pm
The health benefits of the Oxygen Advantage breathing method include better sleep, improved cardiovascular health, and increased energy and concentration. Increasing the amount of oxygen that can be delivered to your working muscles and heart during exercise will allow you to become healthier, faster, fitter and stronger.
This session will give you an understanding of how to improve everyday breathing habits so that body oxygenation becomes more efficient. You’ll learn a specially designed 50-minute breathing workout that provides similar benefits to high-intensity interval training without excessive stress and strain on the body.
